Special Smoothies
Below are 7 different healthy smoothies
that are really fun to make!
Smoothies are a great way to start your day. They provide servings of fruit and vegetables, fiber, antioxidants and protein (when added).
Try adding a few scoops of quality protein such as hemp or brown
rice protein to these smoothies.
You may also want to add some of our Special Fiber Blend
to the smoothie for added fiber for your daily diet!
You can also open up 3 - 6 capsules of our Super
Antioxidant Greens and add that in as well for an antioxidant
boost! Of course, using organic ingredients whenever possible
will provide the best nutrition for your body.
BLUEBERRY, BANANA, ORANGE SMOOTHIE
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups orange juice
- 1 ripe medium banana, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup frozen blueberries, blackberries or raspberries
- 1/2 cup silken tofu (preferably organic)
- 2 ice cubes, crushed (see Tip)
Blend until smooth.
GOOD MORNING SMOOTHIE
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups orange juice, preferably calcium-fortified
- 1 banana
- 1 1/4 cups frozen berries, such as raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and/or strawberries
- 1/2 cup low-fat silken tofu or low-fat plain yogurt
Blend until smooth.
CHOCOLATE BANANA SMOOTHIE
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup silken tofu or low-fat plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup soymilk
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon honey
Blend until smooth.
PEANUT BUTTER & BANANA SMOOTHIE
Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen banana slices (approximately 2 medium bananas)
- 1 cup ice
- 1-1/2 cups vanilla soy milk (or milk of your choice)
- 1/4 cup natural peanut butter
- 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt
- 2 Tbsp. honey
Directions
Place frozen banana slices and ice in the bottom of a blender or the work bowl of food processor, fitted with a metal blade.
Pour milk over fruit.
Add remaining ingredients. Puree until smooth.
Serve immediately.
If you don't have time to freeze the banana slices in advance, just use regular bananas and add more ice. OR you can have it on the warmer-side which is actually better for digestion.
SPINACH & CARROT SMOOTHIE
Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped spinach
- 1 cup chopped carrots
- 1 banana
- 1 cup apple juice
- 4 ice cubes
Blend until smooth.
GREEN GODDESS SMOOTHIE
Ingredients
- 1 Banana, cut in chunks
- 1/2 Apple, cored and chopped or sliced
- 1 cup White Grapes
- 1 cup Fat-Free Vanilla Yogurt (or Plain Yogurt and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla)
- 1-2 cups fresh Spinach Leaves
Blend until smooth.
MELISSA'S MORNING SMOOTHIE
Makes 2 large glasses. You may drink both in the morning.
Ingredients
- 1 organic apple, diced
- 1/2 cup organic baby carrots
- 3/4 cup frozen wild blueberries
- 1/2 cup spinach (optional)
- half of 1 organic banana (optional)
- 1/2 cup rice milk or almond milk
- room temperature water
- 2 tablespoons organic hemp protein
- 5 opened Super Antioxidant Greens

Directions
Place the apple, carrots, blueberries, spinach & banana (if using) into the blender and add the rice milk and enough water to cover the ingredients. Blend until smooth.
Add the hemp protein and the contents of the Super
Antioxidant Greens capsules. Blend again until well mixed
